Indian Gold Dollar Type II
The Indian Gold Dollar Type II is considered the rarest of
U.S. Gold Coins and was minted from 1854-1856.
Indian Gold Dollar Type III
These Indian Gold Dollar Type III coins were minted to correct
the high relief design of the type 2 coins above. Minted from 1856-1889.
Indian $10 Eagle Coin
The $10 Indian Eagle Gold was the highest denomination gold
coin produced by the U.S. mint up until the release of the Double Eagle. The Indian Eagle was
minted from 1907-1933. Nearly all 1933 Indian Eagle coins were melted down after the 1933 Act of
Congress halted the minting of gold coins.
Liberty (Coronet) Gold Coin
The Liberty or Coronet gold coins preceded the popular St
Gaudens coin. Minted from 1850-1933. Very similar in appearance among the various face values of
$2.50, $5.00, $10.00 & $20.00 varieties.
Liberty Gold Dollar Type I
While similar to other Liberty Gold Coins, the $1 Gold Dollar
is the smallest of all gold coins minted by the U.S. Minted from 1849-1854.
Saint Gaudens $20 Gold Coin
Considered by many to be the most beautiful coin ever minted
by the U.S. Minted from 1907-1932. It is interesting to note that 445,000 were produced with the
1933 date but were never released due to new laws enacted by Congress during the Great
American Buffalo $50 Gold Coin
This great stricking coin was minted as a 24-karat coin and
first offered to the public in 2006 and is still sold today as a collector "proof" coin. It was
modeled after the Indian Head Nickel.
Swiss Franc Gold Coin
These coins are considered by many world coin experts to be a
classic world coin. First minted by the Congress of Vienna in 1815 and has always been considered a
good portfolio gold coin due to Switzerland fiscal strength. Features a bust of Vreneli, the "Swiss
Miss" of Swiss lore. These were produced up until 1949.
British Sovereign Gold Coin
These coins depicted King George V and were minted by the
United Kingdom from 1902 to 1932. There have many different British Sovereign gold coins minted
starting in 1817 and have also included depictions of Queens as well as Kings.
Guardian "Lucky" Angel French Gold
These coins are believed to be the most legendary of all
European gold coins and were minted from 1871 to 1898. The "Guardian Angel" design was created
during the French Revolution in 1871 by Augustine Dupre'. The French have long considered angels to
be lucky and it is said that Dupre' himself was saved from the guillotine because he has one of
these coins in his pocket.
Chinese Panda Gold Coin
Chinese Pandas are considered one the the most beautiful gold
coins in the world and started mintage in 1982 with different reverse designs up until 2001. The
Panda has a lower mintage than other world gold bullion coins and is always sold at higher
